I don't know if I already mentioned this but on “DC's Legends of Tomorrow,” Sara reunited with Ollie in the future. Everyone was dead or gone. Felicity had rebranded Palmer Tech for herself. Ollie decided to team up with Diggle's son Connor Hawke and fight the good fight. It was only a possible future.
We open with Cupid killing a couple based on stuff that Deadshot said. Super healthy.
Laurel tries to put Damien on trial. He stands up to her proof. Laurel is not a great lawyer, to be honest.
Felicity is moving out of Ollie's place. They are trying to be civil but it's super awkward. Still, they have to work together so...
5 years ago, Baron tells a story about how his village was raided when he was younger. He lost everything and everyone. Ollie asks how Baron is different from the people who destroyed his village. Baron responds by shooting someone. Not very clear in his delivery there.
At the Arrow Cave, Laurel reveals her case against Damien isn't going well. Felicity and Thea offer to testify from when Damien kidnapped them. Since it comes up in conversation, Felicity is forced to mention she broke up with Ollie to everyone. Ollie tells Diggle he's hopeful he can get her back. And why didn't Laurel think of asking them to testify before or Curtis and his husband who are less of a conflict of interest?
At a crime scene, Quentin reveals to Green Arrow that Cupid is back. She left her murdered couple from the beginning of the episode on grass in the shape of a heart. She left a note saying “love is dead.” A reference to Deadshot and supposed dead regular Arrow?
At the Arrow Cave, Diggle reveals that Cupid worked her way off of the Suicide Squad and was released. I guess the bomb in her head was removed or else, why not pick her up again? Thea reveals that the couple Cupid killed was Star City's most high profile celebrity couple. She is hilariously muttering about her favorite couples all episode as if even she is kind of embarrassed she knows about them.
At the Courthouse, Diggle takes the stand. He tells the story of how Damien kidnapped him. The defense attorney brings up that Diggle and Thea bought cocaine together in a previous episode. Outside the courtroom, Laurel reveals she didn't cross because she was afraid of revealing vigilante activities. Felicity is never called to the stand that we see. I think the attorney is implying that all the witnesses Laurel has are willing to lie for Ollie. This is more for plot reasons.
Speedy, Arrow and Spartan pursue Cupid. Arrow manages to be the only one to get close to Cupid. He rescues the new celebrity couple she's captured but she escapes. This seems like a good time to mention that Felicity is bitchy about Ollie this episode. It's low key but noticeable.
At the Arrow Cave, Felicity is on Team Love Sucks with Cupid. Thea and Diggle encourage Ollie to tell Felicity he wants her back. He doesn't because superhero shows are based on a lack of communication.
5 years ago, when that prisoner dies, his life force moves to a statue that they found. It starts to give Baron power. He orders all the other prisoners be killed to get more power. Ollie and Taiana knock everyone out and steal it. I'm assuming the prisoners are dead because I think Baron managed to send the order. They could very well be alive though.
At Laurel's place, Quentin stops by. Laurel says she got subpoenas for all of the people who witnessed Damien kidnapping Diggle, Thea and Felicity. They all have excuses not to testify. Quentin wants to testify. Isn't that a conflict of interest? Laurel says she can't get him immunity. Quentin wants to pay for what he did. Laurel agrees to let him testify, making sure he points out that Damien threatened him.
At the Arrow Cave, they learn that Cupid is living at a place where they store old wedding dresses. Cupid is many things but subtle isn't one.
Spartan, Speedy and Green Arrow find Cupid's lair. They realize she goes after high profile couples right after they are married. Ollie and Felicity were on that list until they broke up. Gee, I wonder how this will fit into the plot?
At the Arrow Cave, Ollie suggests that he and Felicity get married immediately so they can catch Cupid. Felicity is not into it but the others assure her that she will be protected. Thea says she can leak the news that Olicity is getting married in secret so that Cupid will see it. Ollie says he still has the venue because canceling it would mean things were really over. Felicity insists they are over. What a convenient thing to happen right after they called off their wedding?
5 years ago, Ollie and Taiana run out of places to run. It turns out the only way out is back the way they came. They'll have to face all of Baron's men. We know at least one of them will be fine. What does the statue even do?
At the courthouse, Quentin testifies about all the things he did for Damien. The defense attorney does not have any luck disproving his testimony somehow. This is really just a redemption plot for Quentin.
At Ollie and Felicity's fake wedding, Felicity does barely there vows about how Ollie has some interesting qualities. Ollie does actual vows about how she is the best thing in his life, the light and changed him for the better. He also says some stuff that results in weird vows about never lying to her again and so forth. Cupid interrupts and the justice of the peace runs off. Cupid has rigged the place to explode. Felicity gives a speech about how life is all about love. She says it would be okay if she died tonight because she already had love that gave her life meaning. Love is what is most important. This warms Cupid's heart. The gang teams up to take her down. Ollie knocks her out. Cupid is arrested and taken away. Diggle is confident that Felicity wants Ollie back now. I saw some complaints that Ollie and Felicity didn't have guns. They would have trouble hiding them and perhaps didn't want to reveal their secret identities. Ollie was wearing a bulletproof vest. That seemed like a safe bet since Cupid shoots for the heart but it didn't look like Felicity had protection. The main problem is Diggle was watching from a van for some reason instead of being Ollie's best man and being able to act as a security guard which is his job. This was so Felicity could stall giving her love speech, I suspect. Yet, maybe they just didn't want Speedy to be the only vigilante who showed up to this fight.
5 years ago, Ollie and Taiana hide. They attack the guards after them. They knock them out and take their guns. The only thing I'm curious about is the statue, to be honest.
At the courthouse, the judge rules that Damien will be held without bail until the trial. Quentin is suspended and has to turn over his badge and gun. He's very chill about it. In fact, they all are. Laurel offers to represent Quentin for his reinstatement. He turns her down. Can he afford another lawyer?
At the Arrow Cave, Ollie tells Felicity that they can still be together since that's what they both want and they still love each other. Felicity agrees that she wants that and loves him. On the other hand, she feels he will inevitably lie to her again. She apologizes for telling him they could make it work while saving the city together. She feels Team Arrow has enough tech skills between them to get by without her. She is leaving the team and tells Ollie to let her go forever. Now, Felicity leaving the team has already become an issue for some fans. This scene interestingly brings up the fact that it was Felicity who wanted to come back to the city and fight the good fight. Some see this as that she has to let go of two things she loves because of Ollie. Some think her love for the work will bring them back together. A more interesting point I saw is that when Ollie left the team last season, he mentioned wanting to take care of himself before he could take care of the city and maybe that's what Felicity is doing now. I certainly hope she is not taking a knee for Ollie's arc but I haven't seen enough for that to be the case. I'm hopeful. Side Note: The news is playing during this scene and uses the term Olicity.
In jail, Damien spits out a ring and puts it on his finger. Fine.
