We open six months ago. Arrow, Diggle and Felicity are heading to fight the Mirakuru soldiers. Arrow stops to put down two of the soldiers who were attacking Cupid. An obsession begins.
At a parking lot, Quentin shows Arrow the body of Isaac, dressed up like Arrow. Arrow takes the arrow that killed Isaac and is off to hunt the killer. It should be easy to hunt a killer who is already hunting you. Less legwork.
Back in Hong Kong, Ollie is in trouble with his captor's wife, let's just call her Tatsu finally, for not doing his laundry. Finally, a complaint that makes sense. Ollie doesn't know how to do laundry which only makes her madder. I guess it also doesn't help that her husband goes on a mission alone. Side Note: Tatsu Yamashiro is Katana in the comics. She is a superhero with a sword.
At the office, Felicity walks in on Ray doing a salmon ladder work out. How is it that Ollie never put one in the office? He asks Felicity to be his date to a business dinner. He bought her a very expensive dress for the occasion. Let's be real, she was already going from the moment she saw him working out.
At the lair, Ollie tells Diggle that he wants Felicity to run a work up on Cupid's arrow. Diggle points out that Felicity is pulling a good wife over at Ray's press conference. Ray announces that he is changing Queen Consolidated to Palmer Technologies. Ollie deals with his emotions by smacking the crap out of Cupid's arrow which contains an address on Baron Street. Side Note: David Baron is the artist who created Cupid. Her heart shaped arrow was the title card this week.
Diggle and Arrow arrive at Cupid's lair and realize she is a crazy stalker. She calls and talks about wanting to kill for Arrow and take care of him. She had someone strapped to bombs she wants to show to Arrow. Arrow vows to find her. He's a people pleaser I guess.
At the lair, Ollie tries to take away some of Roy's guilt about killing that cop but it's not working. Roy goes to work at Verdant. Felicity shows up. She identified the criminal that is about to be blown up. She's going to keep working but mentions she will need time off to go to her work dinner with Ray. Ollie wants her to choose him without saying as much so it's awkward.
Back in Hong Kong, captor, who let's be real is Maseo, is missing. Ollie volunteers to go down to the docks and look for him. Tatsu wants to go since Ollie doesn't even know how to use a washing machine. Laundry doesn't reflect his fight skills but okay.
At Verdant, Thea is holding DJ auditions. Wilke from “Switched At Birth”/ Sebastian from “The Carrie Diaries” shows up and says she can send all the other applicants home because he is the best. But he refuses to audition. Thea proves why she is in fact the best, by showing him the door. The actor who is playing a character apparently named Chase is kind of known for his charming bad boy/jerk thing but the charm really isn't here yet.
At the lair, Felicity explains that Cupid is Carrie Cutter. She is a former police officer who has been stalking Arrow. They think she might be at a flower shop. Arrow and Arsenal go to investigate what we all know from the comics.
At Sherwood Florist, Cupid knocks out Arsenal upon arrival. It's really fortunate Arsenal got his nickname when he did because saying his name now would be a tip off to both their identities. Cupid wants to be with Arrow and he tells her it's never going to happen. She escapes after turning on the dynamite. Arrow manages to explode it while keeping everyone safe. Side Note: In the comics, Sherwood Florist is a place that the Green Arrow and Black Canary lived. The name was an illusion to Arrow being Robin Hood-esque.
At the lair, Roy beats himself up for being a failure. Diggle tells Ollie that Carrie once stalked her own partner which got her locked up. Ollie goes to talk to her doctor. Diggle tries to talk to Ollie about his feelings but we all know how that goes.
At Palmer Technologies, Diggle visits Felicity. He tells her that her date with Ray is messing with Ollie's head. Felicity says there is nothing between her and Ray but if there was, Ollie made his choice and it's up to him to say something. Good. I found it weird that Diggle was taking sides here. What a shipper.
Arrow confronts Cupid's doctor (who you may remember from Smallville and Flash Gordon). She says that Arrow should just give Carrie what she wants. That seems like terrible advice honestly. She tells Arrow that he needs therapy because that much is obvious to even the worst therapists.
Back in Hong Kong, Tatsu says that her family left Japan because they upset someone powerful. Ollie goes for information on Maseo and gets his butt kicked. That happens a lot in the past.
At Palmer Technologies, Ray gives Felicity at ten million dollar necklace to wear and tries not to be creepy. It should come as no surprise that he is still creepy.
Cupid meets with a man who tells her that based on how long it takes Arrow to get to all the crime scenes, he is most likely located on the same street as Verdant. Cupid kills the guy after getting this information. She's dangerous if you can't tell.
At the lair, Ollie learns the man Cupid just killed was one of her old confidential informants. They have no idea what she's planning. Ollie wants to get Felicity on it. Diggle says Ollie just wants to ruin her date. Ollie just wants Felicity to be happy. Diggle says if that were true, they would be dating. Burn... or is it? Ollie goes to the crime scene.
Back in Hong Kong, Tatsu saves Ollie with her awesome sword skills. She learns that Triad killed the A.R.G.U.S. people at the dock. Say it ain't so, Maseo!
At the dinner, Ray and Felicity just manage to sit down when Diggle texts that he needs help. They are very co-dependent.
At Verdant, the DJ that Thea hired is terrible at his job so she fires him. Wilke shows up again and wants guaranteed sets three nights a week. Thea agrees. Wouldn't it be hilarious if he was terrible?
At the dinner, Felicity returns from running off to help. She tells the people they are having dinner with that Ray is a not businessman but a man who wants to make the world a better place. If they sell their mine to him, he will make them proud. This is a moment she realizes she's into him moment.
At the lair, Diggle informs Arrow that Cupid is at Verdant. Thea makes her a delicious beverage called Cupid's kiss. So, she's a narcissist on top of everything else? Arrow asks for Cupid to meet somewhere else. She threatens to kill everyone in the club if he stands her up. At the meeting place, Ollie realizes he saved her six months ago. He gives her a version of the speech he frequently gives Felicity. Cupid takes his BS less well than others and tries to kill Ollie. She tries to murder/ suicide them on railroad tracks. Arrow saves her. She takes this as an admission of love.
Later at the lair, Diggle reveals that Cupid is now a part of the suicide squad so she can do good. I honestly don't think she's stable enough to handle it. Diggle tells Ollie he needs to confess his feelings to Felicity before it's too late.
Back in Hong Kong, Ollie and Tatsu come home to find Maseo alive. Ollie leaves them alone to do laundry. At least the laundry will get accomplished since little else did in the flashbacks. I guess Tatsu wants to kill him less.
At Verdant, Wilke kisses Thea instead of taking his pay. Somehow Roy isn't around to make it all awkward.
At Palmer Technologies, Ray comes to get the necklace back from Felicity. He tells her the deal went through. They kiss. Ollie walks in to confess his feelings and sees them. He leaves. Ray immediately decides this is a mistake and leaves as well. I get this is all for dramatic reasons but Ray is tossing out some major mixed signals.
Roy and Ollie deal with their respective troubles by going to have dinner with Diggle and Lyla. All I could think about in this scene is how different their troubles are.
At Palmer Technologies, Ray takes a business break to look at the new supersuit he is building. It is named A.T.O.M. so I guess we know how he gets his superhero name. Poor Felicity falls for all the emotionally unavailable superheroes.
In an alley, an assassin kills someone with a boomerang. It's the villainous Captain Boomerang a.k.a. George “Digger” Harkness. He is mainly an enemy of The Flash.
