“Dark Shadows” Episodes 337-343
I don't know what it is with this show and recasts. I can't tell if it is because of actor availability or if they just feel like switching the actor for a particular arc. Like super scary Willie left right before they got pet Willie. The sheriff I think got recast just because he wasn't used that often and maybe they could not get the actor again. I thought they recast the Woodard from skeptical guy to a new mystery solving guy for the storyline. Maybe the doctor just found out he was getting killed off and bailed. Then there's Burke who changed from mystery man to boring hero. Also, I don't feel for Julia at all. First she didn't care that Maggie might get killed. Then she wanted to save David which led to Willie nearly dying. Then she tried to kill Woodard. I don't buy that she's guilty. I believe his ghost is haunting her. After all that, she's in love with Barnabas who murdered her friend. Woodard's death had stuff that annoyed me. Why would he not tell Sam the truth if he had evidence? He was investigating the attacks on Sam's daughter after all. Also, couldn't Burke have mentioned that Woodard didn't believe Willie attacked Maggie without the supernatural?
“Continuum” 2x13
Jason is Alec's son. Kiera got sent back because she knew too much. The freelancers captured all the time travelers. Alec time traveled. Carlos and Betty are hanging out with Liber8.
“Breaking Bad” 5x12
“So, your plan is to do his plan?”
Hank putting a seatbelt on Jesse was almost sweet. Then Hank wanted to get Jesse murdered to prove Walt guilty. Jesse is going to work with him and Gomez to get revenge.
“Low Winter Sun” 1x04
There was lots of bad meetings with prostitutes. Also, a daughter who was a ho. Plus, some drug business I guess.
“Doctor Who Revisited: The Eighth Doctor”
The eighth doctor was a romantic hero. He had his first onscreen kiss. His two companions were Grace (Ryan's mom from The O.C.) and Lee. He only faced the Master played by Eric Roberts.
I liked the eighth doctor though he was more full on romantic than the others. The movie seemed dated and somewhat Americanized but not too badly. I also like that we got to say goodbye to the seventh doctor. He was killed by one of his future companions. I also really got what people were saying about this feeling like a beginning. The doctor spent half the movie wondering who he was. Lee spent the majority of the meeting on the wrong side. It would be interesting to see these companions in the 50th anniversary.
“Doctor Who” Episodes 71-77 (Serial 16)
This was an episode that I retroactively liked more. Daleks came back. The whole crew was on the run. Vicki got to be annoying and troublesome but eventually helpful and abandoned by her loved ones. The Daleks had a time traveling machine. Most importantly, Ian and Barbara got to go home. I will definitely miss them. I also like the behind the scene info which revealed the script required them to be more serious and have less moments together. The actors created humor and the sweetness. They wanted to go and a part of them wanted to stay. The show also removed the speech where the doctor offers to take them home so in the end he's all heartbroken when they leave. It pulled at the heartstrings which is amazing because when the show began the Doctor was a scary jerk. I also did not know Steven was the new companion.
