I loved the “West Wing” reference with Gus. There was also a good callback with American Duos. Shawn nearly became mayor. Juliet saved Shawn's job.

I don't know how hilarious it was seeing Polly toughen up. I'm kind of watching out of habit.

This feels a little too generic sitcom for me. I feel like they were setting up the main character to be universally likable but bad at all jobs guy. Instead he develops an extreme feud with a guy who doesn't seem that bothered by him.
