TV on 9-17-12 and Final Day of the Female Characters Meme
-“Revolution” premieres tonight but I already wrote about it so more next week.
“Perception” 1x10
The kid from “No Ordinary Family” was on this. So, it turns out that Natalie is real but he made up her whole personality. The most important relationship in his life was imaginary. I did like him working with the new doctor, his new Natalie.
“Alphas” 2x08
“I’m better if I drive on roads where there are no other cars or people.”
I kind of like Gary’s rivalry with Cat. It’s sort of adorable. Also, this is probably one of the first instances that comes to mind where the ‘falling in love with you was not part of the plan’ trope seemed to work. Cat has amnesia so she wasn’t expecting to care about this dude she had a picture with but he did know her and cared about her (or so she thought) and was nice to her and had a piece of her history so she was unexpectedly drawn to him. She came to her senses though in a pretty cool way. Dr. Rosen arrested his own daughter. I like Nina being there for Rachel.
“Warehouse 13" 4x08
I cracked up when Artie made fun of Steve’s hair or lack thereof. Steve’s mom is Laura Innes. He sacrificed his life to save her and thus became alive again. Pete works out to movies? Haha. I like the shrapnel trapped in the guy’s chest but I lost some sympathy for him when he just kept hitting Pete knowing he was killing him. He seemed nice at the end. I like how they pointed out that Brother Adrian might be the darkness.
“The Inbetweeners” 1x05
“You know you could put hot water in a bathtub, right?”
Poor Simon accidentally called Carly a whore. The guys accidentally bought a black guy at a slave auction. I kind of love Darius.
“Switched At Birth” 2x03
“You are fun on caffeine.”
“Nice shirt. You going to a stripper’s funeral?”
The only thing I love as almost as much as Daphne and Bay getting along is Regina and Katherine banter. Melody and the chef slept together. Also, cute when Daphne got so excited she couldn’t lip read French though maybe she was pretending.
“Mob Doctor” 1x01
The cast is amazing. How did mob doctor know the guy would chase her instead of just walking back inside her mom’s house and killing her? I guess maybe she knew him well. I did like how that one mob guy up and killed somebody. Basically there’s a doctor who cares about her patients but breaks the rules. Those rules don’t include killing though she doesn’t mind death generally. I would normally give this the three episode test but due to time conflicts I’m letting this go.
Day Thirty: Whatever you’d like!
My first choice was a Mary Cherry tribute because she needs to be experienced. However, I thought I would share a video that is the story of BAM in 5 minutes. Unfortunately, it does not include all of their cuteness and angst. What was great was they had a good balance of light heartedness with the drama. Also, their attractiveness and chemistry and kind of tragic love story. I did not make this video. Someone said their relationship was made up of bad decisions, horrible timing and even worse luck. I think that fits.
