So, it's 6:25 and I'm playing burnout revenge at work (I work at EA, they encourage that kind of thing) and then I suddenly realise that it's 6:28 and I have 4 minutes to get to the station. So I run, but miss my train. There's an arrangement where there's a taxi waiting for me to pick me up at 6:45 from the other station. I call the company and say I've missed my train. I'm thirsty from all that running, so I go to the shop on the station to get a drink. I then go back to the platform, notice that the train is already there, see London Waterloo on the destination and assume that it's just starting from here and get on it. I'm happily reading the newspaper. At 6:58 I wonder why this train (supposedly the 6:55) hasn't left yet and why no one else is on it. I look and then wonder why Guildford station has gained some extra platforms. It's then I realise that I'm on the wrong train on the wrong platform and now I've missed the NEXT train, too. Cursing, I phone the taxi people again (how do you explain this? "Hi, I'm a total cretin. Thanks.") and wait for the later train.
I just feel stupid. Rawr.
