Why do the weekends end so fast!?!

Sounds like everyone had a good weekend for the most part? I am doing pretty well...

Let’s see... since the last time I updated...

I made friends with a few people from my floor, Jen, Liz, Jessica and Matt, and the 5 of us, plus their roommates on occasion, have been hanging out a lot recently... About 12 of us went to "Bravo, Bravo", a salsa club like 5 blocks away which was SOOOO AWESOME! lol... all of the little Cubans made me feel like I was home! :)

Sara and I skipped school for the first half of Wednesday and went to "coffee with Bill" (Senator Bill Nelson)... he does this thing every WED. and has coffee with people who come to visit him from Florida... well.... we went there, there were like 12 or so other people who showed up to do it in his office behind the capitol building... we went into this fancy conference room... his interns came in and talked for a while... he came in... talked about himself for 5 minutes... had everyone take a picture with him and the photographer (I will scan Sara’s and mine when we get them) and than he left... AND THERE WAS NOOO FOOD! Not only did the whole thing take like 5 minutes and we thought we would be there for an hour or so, but we didn't get to talk to him at all, AND most importantly - there WAS NO COFFEE with Bill! Or any food for that matter! ... so much for my tax dollars at work...lol (it is ok... I like BOB GRAHAM better anyways... SARA does too! :)

After the meeting with Senator Nelson, we got special passes from his office to go view the Senate in session in the Capital... went there for like 1/2 hour... saw Joe Lieberman... and left... The Jew was definitely the highlight of the Senate Viewing... lol

THAN~! OMG... Sara, I, and too other friends went to go see the "Glass Menagerie" play which was playing on campus... we ate dinner at a place near the dorm... got to the theater like 10 minutes after it began ... got tickets, and ran into the theater... we ran into the room and it was pitch black dark except for what was going on stage, and we tried to find seats in the dark... but we couldn't see ANYTHING! (lol... you know when you walk into a dark room after being outside in the sun, and you CAN'T see anything... something like that! LOL) So we are like feeling around... there are just random seats, not in isles, in the back, and Sara went to go sit down and realized that she there was no seat... lol... we are all laughing and trying to be quiet because the play in going on and all we wanted to do is sit... so than Liz and Jessica felt their way down a few steps and went into an isle while Sara and I were in the back of the theater watching them to see where they were going... and than that there was a pause in the play... it got unbelievably quiet, and *!*!!*CRASH@!@**** Jessica trips over the first guy in row she was getting into, and falls FACE FIRST on the floor! OMG!! everyone turned around to see what the hell that huge noise was... and Sara and I were still standing in the back of the theater and were laughing so hard that we had to run outside because we just could not stop laughing!!! how embarrassing! when we finally went back into the theater and sat down, we all tried SOOO hard to control ourselves throughout the play and all of us began to laugh again and it was so ridiculously bad... I don't know if this makes sense because it was like a "you had to be there" sort of thing... but it was definitely the highlight of my week!

Mid- Terms on Tues. and Wed... wish me luck...

Spent all day yesterday in southern Virginia at a Batmitzva for a cousin... hour and a half train each way... and a 3 1/2 hour conservative service.... it was nice to meet this whole other side of my family, but I thought I was going to shoot myself after a while at the service! ahhhhh! But the party was fun, and I am glad that I did get the chance to meet lots of new family who live in the area! I have so many cousins up here that seem really cool... and they have cars, which is always good to know someone with a car when you live in the city! So I had fun... but I would never recommend wearing riding the DC Metro at midnight.... just kind of creppy... all I could think about was TRAIN GRAVE YARD! TRAIN GRAVE YARD!!! AHHHHHH!

Ok... really have to do some work! ttyl, and hope to hear from you soon....
