what a week... presidents, posters and protests!
Hope all is well... i have had the strangest week?
Tuesday I skipped my Econ class to heat Alejandro Toldeo, The President of Peru, speak at the Marvin Center... and yes, in typical David fashion i had to get a picture with him... so i did! :)
I won the election for Vice-President of my dorm - Thurston Hall, the largest dorm on campus with 1,000 freshman, and the two other girls I ran with also won! (it is also the 2nd most sexually active dorm in the nation... so that is something to be proud of, right??...)
I wish i had a digital camera so that you could see my door - there are about 100 Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers on it that my roomies tiled the door with... i give it like 3 days before the drunk kids begin to rip them down... but it is ok, because sara and i went to the Kerry campaign headquarters downtown, and i have pleanty more to replace them when they do get ripped off! ... whatever...
yeah... the IMF conference is comming... so ya know what that means??? You guessed it! School will be canceled for the protests!!! Keep your fingers crossed! The World Bank and the OAS (Org. of American States) building are ACROSS the street from my dorm, and the IMF building in only like 2 blocks away... last year, the riots got so bad that school was cancelled because they said it was "un-safe" to walk in the streets with the demonstrations going on...lol, but the truth is that most of the protesters were GW students! so as long as there is no physical damage done to DC, i am all for the protests! 4 day weekend... here I come!
I am sooo happy to hear about Mark and Joa! Yeah! If they get married in Florida, than I can perform the marriage ceremony since i am a Notary! and that way i will also be SURE to be invited, since i might have to sneak in otherwise! I can blend in, right?
