Apparently so...I once tried to ask him about it, and he said "more than you can believe", but then got really strange with me and changed the subject when I asked him why...So I'm not sure what that was all about, but it may be part of the problem...
...Though...I already know Ojii-san loves Nan in her own right...He sure as hell wouldn't have stayed as persistent as he has been over the years if that weren't the case. And he still keeps saying he's not going to give up until she says yes.....Because as he's told me before..."I've seen a lot of lovely women in this world that could be a sight for any sore eyes and get a man's blood pumping. But it's rare and you can call yourself the most blessed man in the world if you come across in your lifetime a beauty that makes you lose your breath and steals your heart away the moment you lay eyes upon her~! ...So to have it happen twice in a lifetime, it means the gods are telling you something...and you don't walk away from a gift that they have given to you...no matter how stubborn she chooses to be~"

Nan's afraid of a marriage like her first...he didn't want to marry her, and he always resented her for not being the woman she wanted. She's afraid Ojiikins is going to wake up one day and resent her for not being his first wife.

If it's one thing I'm sure of, it's that Ojii-san would never resent Nan for anything...He adores her too much for that to ever be the case...

Well, despite his usual gruff demeanor, Ojii-san's a romantic at heart, so it's hard for him to switch that part of himself off when he's caught up in trying to woe the woman...That and...I'm not sure he knows the real reason for why she keeps telling him no...I think he believes she simply just doesn't want to be in another relationship, so he's going about things with that in mind...

I like to think of it this way~~ We're probably all going to end up related to each other in some way or another anyhow~~ I mean...as much as I may hate it, Etsuko's hopelessly in love with Roka and vice versa seems to be the case also...Which means they'll probably end up getting married...Thus effectively making me and Kei brothers....And if Ojii-san and Nan are already married at that point, that'd make Kei your cousin also~~ And then we'll just fill in the gaps from there~~ Nozomi will eventually come home and end up finding a new appreciation for Mamoru and then I'll become brothers with Tomoya as well...And Masuyo will end up with Risa, so me and Yuujirou will find ourselves related also...And then Hana-nee will realize that she still has feelings for Yuuichi-nii and that he's the only real man out there worth being with, so you'll end up Yuujirou's brother too~~

Mmmm, but that leaves Eishikins out in the cold, since Kou can join the happy family by marrying Tomoya~ Whatever can we do about fixing that~?

...Well, I'm sure we can work something out by marrying his sister to somebody...Just haven't figured out a workable combination there yet...But Kei's got a shitload of brothers...I'm sure she could pick from them~~
