Plan on going out to look for a replacement dishwasher, as the one we bought from Sears (which we will never buy anything from again) has given up the ghost after less that 4 1/2 years.
The Boy is going to be spending the weekend at his Grandma's. And, apparently I have been tasked by him to take Mommy on a date while he is away.
Like someone has to twist my arm to do that.
So, he'll spend the weekend making stuff at either Lowe's or Home Despot, while his parents will spend time with each other.
Yes, I like that.
In other news, Noah's last day of school is on the 21st and he requested that I be at his luncheon that they're throwing for the kids this coming Tuesday. Needless to say, I did a time off request and I think my bosses cheered (I hardly take time off unless I have/need to).
In related work news, I have become an enabler to one of my co-workers. Said co-worker and I have the same likes for video games and I introduced him to Evil Genius. This past Monday, he darkened my doorstep and castigated me for giving him the game. He was mad at me because he stayed up to 2am the night before PLAYING IT. To which I responded with both fists sent heavenward and me shouting, "Yes! I am an enabler!"
He apparently has a CUNNING! plan for Memorial Day weekend. Wherein, deprived of wife and child, he plans on spending mucho time trying to take over the world! HA HA HA!
For those vaguely interested: Evil Genius is essentially The Sims married to every 60's James Bond film known to man... with homage being paid to You Only Live Twice. You're basically a criminal mastermind who wants to rule the world. You build a base, perform nefarious deeds (like stealing the Eiffel Tower), and thwart Super Agents from mucking up your plans. It hysterically tongue in cheek and I guess that's why I love it so much.
So, I'm about to dodder off home. Have a good weekend everyone.
