Thanks I_S! You just reminded me of another important fanx:

Fanx to all the SO's/Wives/Husbands/Families/Pets who put up with this happening!

Seconded! In fact you've inspired me. There's an event in Bristol "coming soon" and some friends and I are talking semi-seriously about having a go!

Any advice from your experience humbly appreciated :-)

Would have done something more with them if I hadn't forgotten to transfer the full size ones onto my memory key *shakes head* I'll get 'em to sort through tomorrow :)

1) Know your equipment. Make sure it's proven as working. I don't think you'll have a problem with this :-)

2) Have a small, clear, accurate bunch of documents. Script, Storyboard, Schedule. Write them well at the start, then change them as little as possible.

3) Get a good bunch of people around you, make sure they know the plan and can take initiative on making it happen.

4) Make sure there's plenty for people to do, or to keep people amused when they're not directly involved in the filming. Filmmaking is a largely slow and boring task.

1a) Have spare cables and shit lying around - never know when they might come in handy... :)

Anyway, I had an absolutely ace time with it, it was beyond knackering but I really enjoyed myself, and count me as signed up for next time.

The only problem is I've come out of it *really* wanting a still camera like yours - its a thing of beauty, however Greer'd *kill* me if I went and dropped the best part of a grand on camera gear :)
