knitting around
in the midst of the chaos of everyday living with a toddler, working full-time, being a mom, being a wife... knitting is the one thing i turn to each day, every moment i can - often before all the cleaning happens. i knit garments and accessories for people i love but the knitting, i do for me.
i get to learn a new skill.
i get to work with my hands.
i get to be creative.
i get to fondle the most beautiful yarn.
i get to feel productive even as i sit still.
i get to give my loves a gift i made with my hands, my time, and and my intention.
i get to learn to appreciate imperfection.
i get back to center.
i also get to feed my bloody addictive personality.
who the hell knew that knitting would be so addictive?

a hat for cousin hannah - who's just been the best help around here with the babe and in our home...
i've also finished a hat for my sister-in-law but i'll share that image once i've given her the hat... i'm actually worried it may be small on her.
