i mentioned in a recent post that there was a lot of knitting going on. and so there was and continues to be.
in the midst of the chaos that happens when you're hosting a toddler frat party, working full time, being the cook, the housekeeper, the wife, the mother, the friend, the daughter, the sister, the cousin, the niece, and the list goes on... i find my solace in clicking some needles while i fondle beautiful yarn.
sad sounding to those that don't get it, but true. (not at all sad to fellow knitters. but i have to make more of your acquaintance. my current acquaintances are not knitters and do not understand.)
the thing about knitting is that i don't feel a lot of guilt about doing it (often shirking laundry in the process) because i'm making something for my family. okay, for my son mostly.
for example, i made zeph yet another hat!
the hat was too small so i made a larger one. and a pair of fingerless gloves to match!
i also finished my first sweater! while it drapes well and looks good on, one look and you'll be painfully aware that i am a new knitter. sigh.
and here z is, modelling my handiwork!
so many projects. so little time. have a look at my work-in progress baskets (that's right. there are two).
