happy mother's day!
so... we didn't end up following through on our grand plans to go to cambie village and picnic at a nearby park. our second mother's day ended up with a lot more r & r. both the wife and z took extended naps whilst i caught up with dexter (season 4, episode 11 so close!).
it ended up that we didn't end up leaving our home until later in the afternoon, our only destination: false creek park so z can catch a ride in the toddler swing and play in the sand.
among the most gorgeous of moments:
being a mother is extraordinary every day. the honour and privilege of being this little guy's mothers are all ours. so the only "treats" of today are:

- bottles of wine with which to toast.
- making sure z wore this extra special onesie, given to him by a good friend for his birthday. lynn designed and sewed the appliqué on, herself. can you see the image? it's probably my favourite wedding picture. she gave it to z to wear "so everyone would know who he belongs to." love that.
