night in the olympic city
flood light designs cast light over our favourite english bay area as we approach vancouver's olympic days.
this is the view from our balcony.
pretty cool, huh? but our friends who live around the area are saying it's a bit unnerving when they're trying to get some sleep.
there's definitely a buzz around the city though. when once upon a time there was much grumbling to be heard about the olympics, i'm starting to feel excitement and anticipation. the city's cleaning up and looking even better than it did before.
i know i'm pretty stoked. how often can anyone say they live in an olympic city during the olympics?
on friday, opening ceremony day, i'm hoping to catch a glimpse of the olympic torch running past a few blocks from the office. i wonder if i'll stand a chance of having the wife and child join me for the morning adventure. if it doesn't rain, that is.
