nearly done: a manly vest for z

Feb 07, 2010 19:38

all that's left to be done is for me to sew the buttons and try it on a little man i know.

i'm starting to understand, however, that the reason i'm not a fabulous knitter is because i am an impatient knitter. i rush through the process because i just want to get to the finished product already. which kind of defeats the purpose of why i started knitting in the first place.

i do know, however, that learning is a process. the most valuable lesson knitting is teaching me is that patience is a virtue. and that choosing to be present and in the moment, is a discipline. it will pay to slow down and just enjoy the process.

in the mean time, i'm sooo not zooming in on my knitted works. there are far too many dropped stitches, messy seaming, and missed strands of yarn than i will ever care to admit.

i can't wait to see this on z though. he'll be wearing it for his toronto bday party!
