The Gospel
So our computer has been on the fritz for the past month. It started one day when you would hit the power button, and the drives would go through their check before it would post. Well, the HD light would just stay on and it would never beep and post. So, you'd have to hit reset, and it would work, or maybe on the 3rd try. Then about 2 weeks ago it would just randomly reset itself. Then this morning I came home from work I hit the power button, and same shit, had to his restart. Well once i heard it beep i walked away for a moment and when i came back it had some weird blinking numbers and colors all over the screen. And I thought "FUCK ME". So i rest, and in post it says my CPU is 600mhz slower then it is, the ram is slower, and i don't have as much ram. So i finally get into safe mode to make sure that my HD isn't dead, and it's fine, as its should be considering it's a Seagate less then a year old. I figured there was something wrong with the cmos, and I replaced the battery and reset the cmos. Then Viola, it's back up and running fine, first try, and dosn't' crash anymore. YAY!
