PS if no one gets this, it means he has an intern. Not an internship, he has a personal intern.
Subject: Keen to work in your research group
Dear Sir,
This letter is to request the opportunity for a
challenging summer internship position for the period of May 2006 to
July 2006 in the field of Non-Linear Dynamics and Chaos. I am doing my
B.Sc.-M.Sc. dual degree course in Physics at the Indian Institute of
Technology Kanpur, India and would receive graduate and post graduate
degrees in May, 2008 with honors.
The Non-Linear phenomenon in nature has captivated my
interest and I want to continue it in future. I have done projects on
Molecular motors and Joule-Thomson effect. These project have
been a great experience for me. I have good programming skills in C++ and
Java. Having secured a Departmental Rank of 4 in B.Sc-M.Sc dual degree
program amongst 40 students, I think that I have good thinking and
fast learning skills.
Working in your research group as an intern, will be a
challenging and exciting experience which will allow me to further
develop my existing skills and get exposed to current researches. I hope
that my background and career goals match your requirements. For more
details on my curriculum I have enclosed my resume. If offered an
internship position, I am confident that my research at your institute
will bring new ideas and enthusiasm.
Thanking in anticipation for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Nimit Agarwal,
