sorry to reveal myself as such a curmudgeon about these things, but pecan pies* and sweet potato and pumpkin pies just bore the hell out of me.

So I say turn them into boozy drinks!

Take a semi-frozen, cooked pie, break it into chunks, and feed them into a blender. Whip it up real good, add some cream, and then glug in a bunch of bourbon or dark rum. If you wanted to be really adventurous, you could leave out the cream and just put a few dashes of hot sauce in there.

Ideally, you could serve it in a turkey-shaped mug, but any vessel will do -- even your cupped hands.

*we have one courtesy of whatever studio is promoting "Coraline." I hope they send a turkey next.
