So, I don't know why, but lately I've really been in the mood to write more, specifically in here. Maybe it's because I'm not writing nearly as much as I was during the school year. Who knows?
Anyways, it's been an eventful Christmas. This may be the first year where the things I got all seem fairly practical. I got two sets of bathroom towels that I desperately needed. Everything I had was old and having company over was difficult if they wanted to take a shower in the morning. I also got a set of cooking pans to replace the used ones that I've collected over the years of living on Stoddard and Hoyt. I got a new pair of slippers to wear because my feet always seem to get cold at night when I'm relaxing around the house, but the rest of me is never cold. My mom always likes to get me a couple of books, so I have a nice new book about the 1980 Olympic hockey team and two new books that have old pictures of Lansing and East Lansing. She also picked up a green button down shirt from SBS that has a Spartan head logo above the pocket. It'll be a nice casual shirt to wear to the office on days on or before big MSU sporting events. Oh, and I can't forget that half of my new entertainment center was a Christmas present (the other half a house warming present). All in all, I'd say things were fairly practical this year. I honestly can't remember the last Christmas where I didn't ask for a video game of any kind. I guess that's what I get for buying them as they came out this time around instead of waiting.
Mark, Carly and Sage came to town tonight. It always amazes me what a difference 4 months makes when a child is only 16 months old. He's getting so big now and he's walking and trying to talk. It's really cute. He was tired when he got here tonight, but he still managed to play with some new toys and have fun with Uncle Doug. Tomorrow will be another fun day with Sage and the rest of the family.
So much more to say, but I'm tired so I'll leave it here. I'll be back in Michigan late on Tuesday. Let me know if you're going to be around at all Tuesday night, or anytime after that this week.
