[Vie is in the library, curled up in her usual pile of pillows and making a fair attempt at ignoring all the strangeness.]

This is a strange little beeping device, isn't it? Listen!

[Frek pushes another button.]

Wait-- Frek. Stop that, please.

[She's trying not to laugh.]

Don't cut the conversation off before you tell me where you are!

If my lady insists. This is very different, no?

[Frek does stop, but he rattles the comm before putting it to his ear, grinning.]

I am in the... is this the mess room? Never before have I seen such variety!

Mess-- Ah! The buffet. I'll be right there!

[SHE'S SPRINTING. And when she arrives, Vie will stop and stare and look him up and down and circle around him, expression amazed.]

What, you do not believe I am me?

[Frek hangs his head and sighs heavily. He's not as depressed as his airs would suggest, which she surely picks up on-- it takes a hell of a lot more to dampen his infectious and frustrating cheer.]

If you must, you may touch me.

[She laughs, as she always does when Frek is around.]

How about... you answer a question instead? What is the name of our common employer?

Okay, no touching. [Frek gives the briefest of pouts and then he's beaming again.]

Shad the generous!

[She grins.]

I'm not sure that's quite the word to use for him...

[Vie puts her hands on her hips.]

And his second in command?

[watusay]

[Frek dips into a sweeping bow.] To me, he is generous. Mama would never have her oils without his purse.

And the second in command you speak of must be the balding Tarquin.

[Vie cracks up laughing, strides forward and flings her arms around his neck. It's more of a tackle than a hug. Good luck keeping your footing, Frek.]

It would do you well not to let him hear you say that, Frek.

[Frek is like one of those blow-up clowns you punch that pop right back up again. He stumbles, but manages to stay on his feet, and is glad to wrap his arms around her and spin.]

Say what? That our feathered friends in the sky may be attracted to his head under sunlight?

[She laughs when he spins her. Normally she wouldn't get this personal with Frek but he's the first sign of home that she's seen.

Vie hasn't been this happy in a while. She loosens her grip and leans back a bit but doesn't let him go. Her grin fades, Vie frowns a little.]

Do you remember the Ontari Assualt?

[He won't of course, since he's referring to Shad and Tarquin as alive and well.]

[Confused at her change in enthusiasm but happy that she's letting him hold her, Frek blinks and rewards her with a curious look.]

Ontari Assault? No. They have been assaulting?

[She faceplants into his chest.]

Then it hasn't happened yet. If you see Shad, tell him to avoid the Otu'shan Temple. It will not end well.
