006 -I've nothing clever to say just now

Jan 12, 2009 13:40

Having found myself back in my own flat and my own time this morning, I assumed that the headache was a side effect of traveling. It appears that something else caused it, although I've no idea what, even after having read back the prior entry ( Read more... )

what happened?, i've missed the start of 1980, ooc:family disaster, out of sorts but alright now

I assure you it's quite alright. I would hardly have expected even something such as this to make me the easiest to get along with.

Uh. Yes, well...actually I've nothing to say on my own behalf.

You needn't worry. I assure you I've dealt with much worse than a simple - if rather all-consuming - disaster. Or did you mean in regards to your 'behavior'.

This was my first. I...is it always this way? I've really no idea what happened, beyond what's in the last entry.

My behaviour was rather normal considering the context, wasn't it?

I was the good son in my own family, I'll have you know.

They vary, for the most. I believe this is the first of its kind that I've seen, or at least in so much as the change of memories went. But your behavior was normal considering the context.

Not knowing your real family, I'll simply have to take your word for it.

How odd. It's like a massive memory charm was cast on all but a few of us.

And you won't either, I expect.

Besides I've no reason to lie to you now that I don't believe you to be my mother.

Or something very much similar, yes. If it weren't for the fact that I expect I'll get no answers I'd look into how it was caused.

I suppose you wouldn't now, would you?

Isn't there a talking fish here who knows about these sorts of things?

There is, but I'm not at all sure I'll be able to get a straight answer out of him.

Hmm. I shouldn't know, I've never tried.

I haven't tried either, but given his tendencies I very much doubt asking him would solve anything.

Hmm. He's mostly interested in divulging things that people had hoped to keep secret from what I've seen, so you may be right about that.

I agree. Besides, he may not know the answers either.

So then, people just accept it and move on as though nothing had happened?

There isn't precisely much else we can do, although I fully expect we might be seeing a slight shift in friendships and other alliances after this on is fully complete.

Oh? Now that's interesting. What leads you to believe that?
