004 -Reasons to Never Accept a PortKey from a Stranger

Jan 06, 2009 20:04

I don't suppose anyone here often travels between the years 1979 and 2001?

I could use a bit of direction on how that works. I'm having some difficulty sorting it out for myself.

It really isn't very funny anymore.

port keys are not to be taken lightly, i will be hexing all ginger haired inter, someone must know how this works, i'd like to go back now, this is no longer amusing

... Those portkeys. They only good for time travel, or physical-distance travel too?

Usually only physical travel, actually.

Is that so.

Where does one get a portkey?

From a wizard.

And you called yourself one in an earlier entry...

Are your services available with the right price and relatively quickly?

I've no use for muggle money.

What do you want with a portkey anyhow?

I don't know what muggle is, but a guy here can exchange any currency that's out there no matter the country or fandom.

Private this thread and I can tell you. It's sensitive information.

A friend is voluntarily being held captive in his brother's residence. He found some kittens, but the brother, a fucking crazy homicidal homunculus, intends to kill them. For now he's hidden them outside under a bush or something. I'd need a portkey that would transport me there and back to get the cats.

You want to use a powerful magical object...to save kittens?

And I'm meant to believe that?

You're ser...uh, you really mean that.

Alright. You can have the portkey. You just can't tell anyone where it's come from.

Yeah.

You'll want to screen the public part of our thread, then. Aside from that, my lips are sealed.

Does the thing need coordinates, or do I give it commands?

Damn. Nevermind, then. Save your kittens, I can't be arsed to care what people think.

No of course not. You tell me where it's meant to take you, and then I key it to human touch. So don't let anyone else touch it, unless you'd like to send them away instead.
