That a man, also a Servant that goes by the title of Caster, named Gilles de Rais has made his appearance in Mayfield and happens to be a murderer. Not exactly the sort that I would want to have a student going up against so early just yet.

You and I are fine as we have Servants to deal with that sort of mess, however, even in a town like this, Servants are still people to not be taken lightly with. According to Saber, the man targets children-- however, even if it's just a child's life he goes after, the fact remains that human life means nothing to him. Much less decide to change his target from young children to young teenagers... my student in this case.

I want to have her get to know you and Saber and start to training her on how to defend herself and retreat for now. Any objections?

Yes, I understand what you are saying and yes, I understand your plan-- however think at it from a different angle. After repeated deaths, there is a chance of it being backfired. What if he comes better prepared? What if he discovers that life here is cheap and still continues with his acts without care? What if he was a man who needs sacrifices for his magic to work and discovers that death is cheap and all he needs is to kidnap a good handful of people and bleed them out as long as needed? So what if Mayfield will take them back? Once they have been returned to their homes for a long while, they will be droned as punishment and leaving them as open targets. I may be exaggerating or I might be on the mark, I don't know. I don't know enough about this man, but the title of 'Caster' already puts me at alert if he kills for whatever gain or reason he has. If your Lancer can successfully take this Caster on without trouble, I would commend it. Just remember that magi of all sorts aren't so forgiving once something has wronged us. You ( ... )

My instructions to Saber was to save her strength and just prepare for the worst and when I summon for her. Other than that, she is free to do what she thinks is necessary-- and Saber if you are listening, keep that in mind.

[Weeeeeeeell, that's sort of a thing to keep in mind. But he always has one priority in mind first and foremost.]

Is he capable of using magic of any sorts?

... do I even want to know?

[Because if this is about maid stuff, he totally has a not!waifu to help out on that sort of thing.]

At any case, if he can then feel free to do so. Saber had mentioned being friends with the Lancer spirits, so I trust her judgement in character. You hold him accountable for any actions, however.

If it wasn't any of my business, then you wouldn't have mentioned it on the line where we are both conversing on. Under reasonable and logical thinking anyway.

[Pfft. He just snorts at that.] Just honestly what kind of person do you take me for?
