"Pass me another brew will ya, Fleet Feet?" Roy asked, stretching his legs out in front of him and leaning back on the backpack behind him.
"It was nice of you to bring us take-out, Wally." Connor thanked the speedster and, then took another mouthful of the tofu salad he was holding.
"Hey, when Dick called me to say you guy's needed help I knew it was an emergency," Wally replied with a wink, tossing Roy his second beer. "We're family; they know I've got their backs."
"What. Are. You. Doing?!"
"Oh, hey." Dick grinned his most innocent grin as he turned to face a bedraggled Bruce and Ollie as they stumbled into camp. "I was hoping you two would join us soon. I was almost about to send Wally out to find you both."
Ollie glared at Connor, who seemed to shrink away from the look, before making a b-line towards his eldest son. With an equally fierce look for the redhead, he swiped the half empty beer from Roy's hand chugged it down in three huge gulps.
"You know, you really should drink water instead of that," Roy said, helpfully holding out a canteen.
Ollie shoved the empty beer can at his son and snatched up the offered canteen of water without a word, but Roy hadn`t missed the `just you wait` look he received.
From the corner of his eye Bruce caught Dick grinning at him, and grabbed a burger out of his son's hand, taking a large bite, savouring the juices that flowed down his throat.
"You know, Bruce... that's Ollie's' burger," Dick said with as much sincerity as he could muster.
Bruce paused mid chew. "Shut up, Short Pants."
"Ohhhhh SNAP! You just got dis'd by the Bat!" Roy laughed.
"You too, Harper!" Bruce growled, washing down the burger with a chug of water from Dick's canteen.
Wally chortled as he watched Dick and Roy trying in vain to placate their mentors who had launched into another round of `who's' to blame." "Hey, make sure you invite me next time you come out here, this is too much fun to miss." He laughed as he settled beside Tim and Connor.
Tim lay back with his hands behind his head and sighed contentedly. He lolled his head to one side and grinned at Connor and Wally. "Yep, this sure has been a great weekend."
Connor returned the grin. "It certainly has," he said, "We should do it again… and soon."
