hello! I was supposed to have visitors, they canceled. =D Not before I scrubbed the house clean, though. Oh well, the promise of visitors is a great cleaning motivator! But I didn't work on the Bond fic yet, though. *sigh* will answer comments and start on that. Not reading anything Luau related, but I'll get back to it. eventually!

I had to do something for Queen
toestastegood though! and if I could not manage a crack pairing, I have a little fic none the less. hope you like my Queen!

Hide and Seek
Wee!Jack, Christian, rated G, around 480 words. No beta, so all mistakes are mine, sorry!

The other kids were playing hide and seek, but he didn't know how to tell them he'd like to play too. He was starting school next year but knew how to count to 100 already, maybe they'd like that. Sighing, he wished Marc was there. When they had moved in the new house last month, Marc had came to see him on the very first day and just asked him if he'd like to go for a bike ride. As if it was the easiest thing to do ever. Marc knew how to make new friends.

There were so many people here, people he never saw before. Dad had said the new hospital did a barbecue each summer and that he had to go too. Jack didn't understand why he could not stay at home and swim in their own pool, but it made Dad angry when he said so. Since they arrived, he had shaken all those hands and suffered through, like, tons of ladies saying how cute he was about ten million times. He had forgotten a lot of names already, he really hoped his Dad wouldn't ask him to remember them later.

Suddenly, Jack realized he was alone. His parents were not next to the fountain like just one minute ago. They could not be far, right? He walked to the fountain, then around it, but he didn't see them. He thought for a moment that he saw his mother, but it was another woman with a green dress. His heart started beating fast. What if they left already, without him? Mother had said that she didn't want to stay long. The usually left him at home with a babysitter, what if they had forgotten they brought him in the first place?

The place was big and he didn't know where to start looking. Jack walked from group to group, trying not to run, wondering if he should ask a grown up to help him find his parents. But they were all talking and laughing and not paying attention to him. But it was precisely by his laugh, the one he so rarely heard at home, that he finally found Dad.

Crossing his fingers, Jack followed the sound until he saw Dad under the tent where people got glasses. He was so happy to find him, that they had not left yet, that Jack ran to Dad and slipped his hand in his, holding tight. When Dad looked down at him with a frown, Jack almost took his hand back. But Dad squeezed it with a little smile and a wink, and then continued talking with the fat man in the suit.

Jack smiled brightly: he was safe. And he didn't feel like playing hide and seek anymore. He would just stay with his Dad and listen to his stories: he was the best doctor in the whole world, after all. One day, he would be too.

The End.
