it seems like forever...

since I've done a fandom post.

maybe it's because I don't have much to say? I mean I watch quite a lot of TV - for me - in spite of my busy schedule but nothing is new and there is nothing I am absolutely crazy about. I think I'm watching out of habit? But I do want to know what happens and I just cannot seem to quit anything. I am in "it's complicated" relationship with my shows ;)

let's see:

on Mondays:

Sleepy Hollow: I don't care about the mythology or plot lines, I just want Ichabod, Abby, Jenny and the others to interact in mundane life setting. that's all I want. all the time.

Castle: here again, overarching plot: don't care. I just want them to be dorks in predictable cases. I also want more Espo and Ryan and Lanie.

on Tuesdays:

Agents of Shield: oh, yes, that one I love a lot. It really picked up after the Cap 2, and even though some storylines bore me (Skye's father for one) I am deeply invested in many characters. I like the newbies! Hunter is like a walk down my favorite tropes checklist, Bobbi is fantastic, and Mack and yeah. Questionable methods and mind games, but if I can watch May and Bobby kick ass on the regular, I'm there.

Supernatural: sill watching. don't care about most of it. bored by the storylines, barely hanging on liking a main character because I'm out of love for an actor. But hey, I've invested 9 years in this show, so I'm still there and mostly enjoy it still, so why not?

Chicago Fire: this one I mainly watch for the characters even though they killed a favorite for manpain (BOOO!). Some good stories, too, and some action sequences are pretty cool. I don't know how representative of a fireman life the show is, but it makes entertaining tv.

on Wednesday:

Chicago PD: started it because I liked the lead-ins by Chicago Fire, I like the crossovers that happen between the two shows. I like several characters a lot too, it keeps me interested.

on Thursdays:

The Vampire Diaries: I almost lost all interest in the show in the last couple of years and it's one of those "why am I here again? oh, right Caroline." because yes, I love that girl. Also Enzo kept me going last year. He's pretty and insufferable, pretty much my type. I'm liking the start of this season quite a lot more than the last years, so there is some renewed interest.

on Fridays:

H50: at this point, I'm there for the images of Hawaii and pretty people because I don't care about the characters all that much anymore. I'm one episode behind, and I wonder if I'll keep watching? Who am I kidding, I always keep watching shows even when I should quit.

The shows I am most invested in are not airing right now: Hannibal, Teen Wolf (the only fandom with MCU that still grabs me), Games of Thrones.

I'm looking forward to most of the Marvel movies to come, still love the characters I've loved for a long time so I don't see that changing soon. I seem to be against immune to very popular ships which means I'm not right into the squee on my flist/tumblr, but that's fine.

BTW, if I've always been friends with people who liked characters or ships I disliked, or hated characters I liked, that's just how fandom is. Heck, some of my best fandom friends are so different from me, it's half the fun. But sometimes I realize I didn't know about one of those things for years and I'm all 'REALLY?' and can't help but feel destabilized. *wraps my favorites safely and hisses defensively*

want to discuss anything fandom with me, go ahead! =D (I miss talking to you guys)
