Summary: Steve and Danny have been kidnapped. To protect Danny and buy time in hope for a rescue, Steve will have to fight with all he's got. Whatever the cost.
Context: This fic was written before the finale, therefore (highlight for spoiler) Danny never got back with Rachel - take it as an AU if you wish, or in a possible future where she is back with Stan.

This fic was written for the wonderful siluria , who won me in the auction for qldfloodauction . I am sorry it took so long... and that a gift for charity and for one of the sweetest person I know turned out into this story that is pretty dark and violent. I sure hope you like it anyway, babe! Part of the reason this was a long time coming is that, seeing it was going to be long, I signed it up for a bigbang. Unfortunately said bigbang went belly up. Upon telling my flist that it was sad, but that I'd post the fic as it was, I had spontaneous offers from my friends for art to accompany the story. And what wonderful art it is!
