This was made for stargateland for the "What Should Have Been" Challenge (we had to make a missing scene or tag fic for an episode). I used SGA 2x19 "Inferno"

A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

As John walked to his room, he couldn't help but think that the fucking Wraith on their way over was the straw that was going to break the proverbial camel's back. Could there be a worse way to end this already shitty day? He didn't think so.

So many things had gotten on his nerves today:

• Being accused of wanting to con people off their own planet;
• Rodney tripping all over himself because there was a beautiful woman in the room;
• The planet they were on starting to collapse in a super volcano;
• Having confirmed once again that blondes and boobs were definitely more fun in Rodney's book;
• Thinking Ronon and Teyla had died;
• A pretty girl with enough brains to actually find Rodney interesting too;
• Getting his hands burned on the door;
• Not managing to out-flirt Rodney more than two minutes at a time;
• Having to run around herding people in toxic fumes;
• Norina actually saying she'd love to work under Rodney, Jesus H. Christ!

In short? It had been terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Okay, so Rodney had saved the day with his crazy genius idea. And Elizabeth already had plans to kick out the Taranites. But then the Wraith were coming.

There was just one silver lining to this day, and it was that they now had a very very shiny Ancient warship full of drones to play with. John was going to get McKay to work on it as soon as possible.

And if that puts aside thoughts of a certain buxom blonde Taranite? Well it would just be positive collateral damage.
