Note: I definitely have a problem with the concept of fic that should be short, geez.

A meme! It's been a while and I love this one  :)

hi dear! family is doing great, thanks! back to school this week with all of the excitement that entails (jeez! I think I made 10 checks this week alone). I don't know about you guys out West, but this week was real hot, though today it's gone back down. surprising for the end of August.

okay, let's see. I'll try to take some that you I didn't have you chat about before:

I wanna play! What? No. Totally not procrastinating ;)

I have to say, I have wicked love for that first userpic, the drama one. I love that dramatic chipmunk so freaking much. Maybe I should go seek that clip out. It cracks me up every time.

So, uh, burn the land and boil the sea and all that jazz. (I feel like a spy using a codeword. This gives me a bigger thrill than I have any right to.)

I'd be delighted to play even if it's nice procrastination (for me too! ;) )

the dramatic chipmunk is probably the clip I played on YouTube the most times in mylife. as in many many many times, way before Jensen did that on the blooper reels. I love it so and like you I always laugh =D

yep, it's totally spy like. we take our excitement where we can!

I love the SPN/Drama one! Also, the hedgehog is one of my favourites. Poor little guy!

I have an inappropriate level of fondness for my icons, but those two are definitely in my favorites!

your little hedgehog is awfully cute too!

here, have an otter even if irrelevant to the conversation ;)

Oh, FYI? No crossposting to Facebook or Twitter from here, ok
That *points up* is like the stupidest idea ever. Ever. I was posting a reply yesterday on a journal and those buttons were there, just daring you to accidentally do it. I don't have twitter but I have facebook and its like, my family and inlaws and shit who don't need to know about what I do on LJ EVER. So, really?

Ah, so anyway you have so many icons! I have my favorites of yours because they crack me up...

I know, I really don't want those things to mix! I thought the first rule of LJ was that you didn't talk about LJ!

I've sort of disabled the ticky boxes if someone comments on my LJ and views it in my layout style, but it's not fool proof at all. I just wish we could opt out of this completely!

heee, yes, those are hilarious icons. glad you like them too. The McShep one is definitely one of the funniest icon I've ever had (and so true), while Kermit and the SPN boys in that stupid race make me grin each time.

There is no denying of the perfection of the Jack icon and I never laugh at it in a mean way. Just a fondly exasperated way. ;)

did you want me to pick some of yours? you didn't say the code words so I'm not sure. ask away if you want!

You can if you want to baby, just for grins! ;) I don't know if I'll post it but lets just say I will. :D

burn the land and boil the sea

And for all the reasons you stated I'd never want you to write GK fic. Some things mean too much or hit too close to home. Some stuff is private.

GK was extremely painful for me to watch because it hit very close to home indeed. I met my husband when he was a tank driver and spent quite a bit of time with his friends that I love dearly. Not to mention him (and the saying that you can get the guy out of the army but never quite the army out of the guy? yeah). He's wired like those guys.

The fact it was a modern war setting was even more disturbing than any other war movie where I inevitably cry at the human nature. Too realistic. I believed it was happening for real and it broke my heart to see those guys sacrificed by idiotic decisions, and how fucked in the head they become.

I think over the year or more I've seen it I've taken enough distance and maybe I'd like to try to write Brad and Nate one day. they ARE made of awesome and pretty, after all.

okay. so icons ;)
