I really loved Dean shouting for his brother. My kids do that all the time in that same way. Thanks for writing that hug. Even though this is post apocalyptic fic, the love is important.
I could not let Bobby out! one of the things that broke my heart in The End is the evidence of Bobby dying and I just could not cope with that. I needed his awesome, and so did Dean.
John would never have let Sam go, IMHO, so that he suggest they go get him was a given for me.
