so, ages and ages ago, I raised my hand for that 5 questions meme thingy... and just finished typing my answers for
holycitygirl and
mel_b_angel .
ooops. I am such a slacker in everything LJ lately, I am so sorry.
If you'd like questions at your turn, just ask me!

holycitygirl 1. If you had to spend the rest of your life with three fictional characters, who would they be?
This is a surprisingly very difficult question to answer! It stumped me for WEEKS! I took it way too seriously. I mean, I stopped to think if those guys (because, yes, 3 guys, I am greedy) would be somehow HAPPY to be with me for the rest of their lives. So that means that if I thought of someone, let’s say Rodney McKay, I’d think that then I’d have to have John too (no hardship!) but then that they would not be happy out of Atlantis. Or that Aragorn would not really adapt to modern times, so no, even if I’ve loved him for more than 25 years.
My final choices? Dean Winchester. Because.. well Dean. He’s really the choice I’d make for myself. And if I choose Dean, I’ve got to have Sam, or it doesn’t work, Dean would be pitiful. And well, Sam. No hardship, at all. I love Sam. Those two were easy, it’s the third who stumped me because I often think of my guys in pairs or some candidates are not really people I’d get along with on a day to day basis. Until a lucky flister had a brush with Robert Downey Jr this week and slapped myself in the forehead: Tony Stark. YES. I mean, it’s perfect. Filthy rich, made of awesome, snarky, would totally be cool with a ménage à quatre, I’m sure ;)
2. What is something someone said to you once, that you will always remember?
I wish it was something good, but the first thing that sprung to my mind is the most hurtful a friend ever was to me. I was all excited because I had gotten an international cooperation grant to go do my Master degree experiments in Paris, so I told my friends how I’d leave for the summer and one said “Pas pire, on t’aura pas dans les pattes cet été!”, meaning “cool, won’t have to bother with you this summer!” which was so mean and unexpected it took my breath away. And I’m talking about a very close friend here. It took me years to get over it and manage to interact with her without thinking about it too much and my husband then boyfriend was so mad but I was mostly devastated. In retrospect I know she was just jealous/envious, but come on. She has no filter though, pretty sure she regretted it as soon as she said it.
Slightly better on the drama scale, I had a rough time with bullies in school for years and years and I started getting out of it at around 15- 16 years old . One day a girl I hanged out with but was not really close looked at me in surprise after someone made a joke and told me “wow, I’ve known you for 3 years and this is the first time I see you smile!” and THAT was another punch in the gut because... no one needs to be miserable. And I had been for too long. It really helped to make the changes I had to do. I reassure you that I smile all the time now ;)
3. What is your favorite type of weather?
A clear and sunny summer day, not too humid and with a little breeze, 26C is kind of perfect for the temperature. *happy sigh* Give me a drink, a book and a nice comfy chair in the shade with that and it’s paradise.
4. Where do you go when you want to be by yourself?
I do not really have that compulsion to be by myself, to be honest. Not in the going to an empty room or a special place outside kind of way. I do often go into my bubble, though, and that is with my laptop right in the middle of the living room. I’m good in totally immersing myself, and the kids watching TV or whatever is just background noise that doesn’t bother me.
5. Do you believe in fate?
I firmly believe that things happen for a reason, so yes in a way, but I think you make your own destiny with the choices you make. I don’t think everything is pre-written.

mel_b_angel 1. What’s your favourite kinda sandwich?
Probably a club sandwich: chicken, lettuce, tomato, bacon and with tons of mayo (and fries on the side), please :)
2. What was the first fanfic you ever wrote?
Ah, when I was a young teen, I remember writing a true love story about me and my favorite baseball player, my first celebrity crush. No one ever knew about that one (thank god). Now the first one I did consciously was a very blatant Mary Sue story including a hardcore 3some with an AU Josh Holloway and Frankie Roberts (Viggo’s character in ‘The Indian Runner’). I just had to get rid of that fantasy. It evolved into an epic.. that will never see the light again, I sure hope ;)
3. Your Desk: Creatively Messy or Wonderfully Neat & Tidy?
Messy, messy, messy! Eeeep! I do find my stuff easily, but it looks really bad. I TRY to tidy up but it never lasts.
4. Can you cook or bake? Well. I mean, Can you cook or bake well?
I CAN cook and or bake no problem, as long I have a recipe or even without a net if it’s something simple… it’s just that I’m lazy so I don’t do it much. We’re big fans of basic/easy/fast stuff at my house. Once in a while I’ll do more, and it’s good! (I just hate doing the dishes afterwards)
5. Pick a superpower, ANY superpower! Whatchu pick?
Teleportation. There are sooo many places I’d love to see all over the world. I could go lunch with some of my favorite people on the other side of the world and then come back to work. It would be AWESOME.
