Seems that the writing muse is still around, so I have a little drabble for today's Queen at

eponine119, who requested unusual pairings and suggested Shannon/Jack. it's not really shippy and more of a character study (that I may have seen before, my apologies if I lifted it without being conscious of it!)

Shannon doesn't need Boone's scowl to know that getting a tan right now is a bit out of line. It's the sole reason she's doing it, in fact. Attitude is the only thing she has left, and people rolling their eyes are a familiar sight among all of this chaos.
Plus she needs to feel good, and as cliché as it is, feeling the appraising gaze of men makes her feel alive. The tall doctor tries to be subtle, but he's watching too. Shannon smirks as she undoes her bikini top.
Men. They are so easy. That too never changes.
