Well, for starters, I think we have enough main characters to explore that we didn’t really have to go for ‘satellite’ survivors like Rose and Bernard. But none the less, once in it, I was curious and I did enjoy finding more about them. They did surprise me a couple of times (they really looked like an old couple while he was pushing the car out of the snow, and I didn’t expect her to be sick). But the island is magical and cures people, yeah, I think we got that (aka not only Locke but also Sawyer more than speedy recovery of the bullet wound). Bernard has some control issues: he’s not the only one. And Rose lied: somewhat mandatory to be on that plane.
Okay so from there, what did I like (because I tend to go for the positive):
1- Sawyer looks fabulous lately. Way not enough of him.
2- The Kate/Sawyer/Jack scene? LOVED it. Sawyer baby, you’re so pwned
3- Fandom would have collapsed if Jack had taken him in the jungle. Sawyer is so sad he took her, his love for the doc is canon
4- Way not enough of the jungle trek, I thought that would be the core of the episode. I’m not a Jater, so I was glad the net-o-love was not used too awkwardly and that it’s Jack that shoot the rope. Ouch for the fall.
5- Only now Kate tells him about the other hatch? I thought Jack would have been more pissed. But I had wondered it the news got around, I got my answer.
6- The Jack verbally-jabbing Kate made me laugh: you were not my first choice, I asked Sayid first (ow! Although logical) and mostly the ‘they don’t want you’, that was harsh. Boy, you need lessons on flirting as much as improved bedside manners. But I do think he took Kate because he didn’t want to endanger his boyfriend. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
7- “once I get my voice back, I’ll shoot some more” BWAHAHAH! bossy!Jack is love.
8- Charlie and Eko? lol! ‘I love you just the way you are’ he’s so flirty! (but a church? *roll eyes*)
9- Pseudo-Henry? He still rocks. He plays with Locke like a cat with a mouse.
10- I’m so easy to please. Totally went ‘awwwww’ at the Sawyer-Vincent.
11- Oh, of course: “Pasadena”. Darling, you’re such a smartass.
12- I liked seeing Locke unsure of his purpose and the hatch. Too bad it didn’t last long, would have been nice to explore that.
13- Next episode: take me to the guns? I can’t wait.
Of course several things I didn’t like, but I’m already trying to forget them. I love selective memory.
ETA: oh yeah, I just remembered something: the trap Danielle set up with a doll? that's downright creepy if you think of it. was it aimed to catch Alex? because that's the only explanation I have for it. O_O
