7 days...now 6 days...

WOW!

...I'm really starting to feel the pressure of moving in and meeting time restraints. I'm trying my best not to go back to my old ways of procrastinating, but at this point, it looks inevitable. More so, futile, but whatever.

Going to work yesterday was seriously a pain. I left for my break in the morning and went with my friend Sara to grab a bite downstairs. I come back up and there were projects and assignments for me to do, all laying on my desk. And they all had deadlines for today (Tuesday) and for tomorrow (Wednesday). Not cool.

I managed to get through some of them...it's just been tough. Now I can really say I know how it feels like to work a 40-hour week. Sure, some people don't do work, but I can't. Having something dangling over my head, no matter how much I may procrastinate...I eventually get it done. In any case, just getting stuff prepared for work has been a hassle, but I think it's definitely worth it...even if I had to work overtime, dammnit!

Today, however, was a pretty good reward day, haha! I had my physical exam today so I had to miss like 4 hours of work...long story. Basically, my appointment was scheduled for 10am, and I didn't think I should go to work for like an hour, rush to the doctor's, and rush back...so I just took 4 hours off, came back at noon, and they had pizza for all of us as a "sending away" party for me. It was really nice of them...what was even more unexpected was the card that all of them signed, and a $100 gift certificate to amazon.com. Sweeet. And then they gave me a bunch of Social Security Administration (SSA) logo-type things...a mug, a pen, a little bag thingy...haha, I thought it was pretty cool. And I definitely wanna be working there next summer, so they told me to leave them my information...good stuff!

With all of that going on, work had to be done, so I had to work overtime again to meet some deadlines. Tomorrow's going to be a interesting day, but hey! It's my last day, so it's all good...

Another thing that's been hanging over my head is a car. Originally, Maria was supposed to get her car shipped from Hawai'i, but there were just too many legalities (and expenses)! Like, thousands of dollars. Also, time is a factor since she's flying back here on Friday. SOOO, she asked if I could bring my mom's old ass Honda. I said I'd ask and my mom is really still thinking about it...it's been more of a burden then a convenience, not only to ask her but to have the car with me in L.A. I was thinking about it, and I realized that I actually need a car next year. With all that's going on, I can't keep bumming rides from people. AHHH! THE DILEMMA!

...Allrighty...I better leave now. I need to seriously devise a timeline for my remaining 6 days that I'm here. I got lots of things to do, and lots of things to deal with, but I've learned that I need to take things one at a time. Certainly, I can try to multitask, but I'm not Superman, and I definitely can't juggle 10 bajillion things at once. Just breathe...

P.S.: Really funny when I heard this, but when I had my physical, my doctor was telling me that based on my height and weight, and looking at this BMI (body-mass index) diagram, I have the body of an athlete. I wanted to bust out laughing so hard because, one, I exercise, and two, I'm skinny as heck. You all have seen my skinny ass...and as an athlete? Puhhh-leeeease.
