Yeah I really don't know, and that’s a good point. In my own opinion, I would say it’s because its just so unfathomable? Any parent, if their child went missing for even 5mins...would be going crazy looking for them. I can't even imagine if something ever happened like that. I would search all areas imaginable, and alert the police IMMEDIATLY! This girl....did her own investigating by going to clubs and partying? She never let anyone know she was missing, she just went on about her day to day life...as if her 2yr. old just suddenly didnt exist. WTF? For over a month! FOR OVER A MONTH. She lied to police about the most ridiculous things, and I think it’s just mostly mind-boggling for people to make sense of. There is just so much curiosity in what is really the truth, what really went on, and how some "pretty" 22 yr. old girl be capable of possibly being a murderer to her own child. It’s pretty similiar to the Trenton Duckett case. The lil 3 yr. old boy went missing in ’06, I think? Anyway, it was assumed the 21 yr. old mother either sold him or killed him herself, to get revenge to her baby daddy. How fucking sad. She was shown in pictures giving two guys head at the same time, while feeding her baby a bottle! Anyway, she went on the Nancy Grace show…and when questioned as to why she wouldn’t give a polygraph, like the child’s father did, she freaked out and ended the interview. The day before the episode aired, she killed herself. Trenton has never been found. Randomly the media just runs with these things. They are the horrible, awful stories that really pull at the publics heartstrings. The Caylee Anthony case will continued to be followed right up until the end of the trial. Just like Jon Benet, OJ Simpson, or Scott Peterson…or any other big trial. You are right, it is no different than other horrible acts of crime, and no more special than any other case, but there is interest and for me its because I just cant comprehend it.
