so on Sunday i missioned it into London with James &
thisdanceisover to see Every Time I Die again. and MY GOD, if they were good in Sheffield they were COMPLETELY AWESOME at the Garage. it was worth the heat and the amassed scenesters (I love how they all looked at me when i walked in as if to say, "you cannot POSSIBLY like this band; where are your tight jeans? why is your hair not dyed black?") because they were FANTASTIC. it was one of those things where the crowd are loving it, so the band love it, so the crowd love it even more... ace. and so cool to see James & Lucy.
Yesterday i went to Dukes, and i swear we somehow ended up at some sort of Drum & Bass night or something, but argh. it was like they'd taken every single shit subgenre of what they normally play and decided to rinse every song they could find of it. we had, old skool garage (a guy behind me was actually two stepping at one point), really obscure rap, and drum&bass styleee MADNESS. oh, and "Gasolina" by Daddy Yankee. truly the worst song to be released this year. but it was quite funny. and i hadn't seen Kat or Liz in a while, or Polly actually, so that side of things was good.
in other news, my family have finally moved into the 21st century: we got freeview. its a double edged sword: E4 is looking like a very good thing, but watching "The Hits" is strangely addictive and is actually going to eat ALL MY FREE TIME.
