Aerial/Ara
It was a great night, eventful as well.
It started off badly as I got a text off Kol saying that the repair people had just picked up the faulty satellite speaker a couple of hours before we were due to start!! I was not impressed!! Why could he not have got it picked up today?? The fault was only minor and not noticeable when the PA was being used at a moderate volume. You could only detect the fault at very low volumes, which lets be honest, does not happen at Aerial!!
A few tracks into my first set Kol was complaining that I had it too loud, but part of the reason was that the remaining satellite was in the wrong position. So I had to move it between two tracks!! I also had to avoid tracks with mono parts (like VNV Nation - Chrome) which would have shown up that the PA was mono for the night!!
There was a great vibe all over the club, both upstairs and downstairs, all night. John played 2 fantastic sets upstairs. There is also a lot of interest in Big Aerial on Fri June 19th. The eflier for that is on its way!!
Everyone really enjoyed themselves last night and we got some great feedback from people with regard to Aerial. There was a very positive feel to the night.
Hopefully I'll have the PA back for next month, if I don't, heads will roll!!
