new dress
Hello, Everyone!
It's been a while since I've posted around here. I thought I'd share the dress I just finished.
Here is the inspiration:
Full size photos as well as a couple of detail shots over at my sewing journal madamemodiste
It's made of plain and embroidered taffeta, pleated chiffon double ruffles, satin bias tape, and MILES of hand made taffeta pleats. The trim really took a long time to make and pin to the dress and sew down. Bodice, overskirt, and underskirt are modified Truly Victorian patterns.
Any other seamstresses/crafters out there working on anything fun?
