HA! The actual real life gigglesnort I did reading that last line just robbed me of my daily quota of dignity. Totally worth it!

I loved the insight into Cas' mental state in this drabble, I can completely imagine him being the sort to start arguing with himself about Dean, only to fall at the final hurdle and not be able to tell him. I would have loved to see a scene like this in canon.

Very nicely written!

Thank you very much! I gigglesnorted while writing that last line myself. :D

I could write from Cas' POV all day long. He's such a fun character! And I really wish season 6's story arc had allowed for more room for Cas backstory. That was the reason I wrote it. Since the show's writers didn't, it's up to us to fill in the blanks for ourselves. ;)

Thanks again! I really appreciate your encouragement.

I really enjoy it when writers delve into Cas’ mind and explore his thoughts, especially when they pertain to Dean and Sam. He really is innocent at heart, isn’t he? He makes the wrong choices sometimes and is misguided by his ultimate goal, but he really does try. And I think you brought that out in your drabble.

Agreed. Nobody could spend too much time in Cas' head. Ever. :D

I think so! I actually had a hard time wrapping my head around his sudden turn to the Dark Side in the last episode of Season 6. (I kept waiting for him to have a Galadriel moment, throwing up his arms and yelling "All shall love me and despair!") Can't wait to start Season 7 and see what happens next. (I just got into the show a couple months ago, and I'm still not fully caught up.)

Thank you so much for your comment! :)
