Success! My band freaked out the emo kids!
Yesterday, there was a block party at the First Corner. It was a lot of fun and the food was excellent. After the first few groups went on, this guy got up and preached for like an hour. The guy was really scary I mean really scary. He was preaching fire and brimstone and he was preaching in a negative light. He was like, 5 years ago, I would come into your house, blown you up to pieces and burned your house down and he talking about all the crap he was addicted to. Then he started blasting the crowd, kinda made the crowd feel bad. Then the rest of the night, emo bands went on and like this crowd of kids whom I went to school with(most of em) were moshing and hehe me and Kristel(who I hung out n had a great time all day with) were weirded out. She kept yelling out EMO SUCKS!! all night. And this preppy girl came up to her and Kristel mocked her hehe, same thing when this girl who said she was goth wanted to start a band with her. At 11 o clock my band got up there and the sea of emo kids disappeared once we started hahaha(first of all, they thought they were too cool to hang out with me in high school and second, I guess its not cool to like anything thats not whiny and depressing "ahhh life sucks, screaming infidelities!" what the heck is an infidelity haha). By the way, my group provided all the equipment, stayed there all day setting up everything, and those bands didn't even thank us or watch us play, ugh, JEA-LOUSY. Anywhee, our crowd was there and we had a great time playing our originals n some 80s and new rock. It was great to just play a place that is all ages. Speaking of all ages, after we played, a kid about 5 or 6 year old kept taking our microphones and running with em haha. It was funny trying to get them back. Anyway, it was a lot of fun yesterday.
