I've had a happy week so far... (and I honestly can't remember the last time I actually thought to myself and said, hey this isn't too bad, I'm feeling quite happy about things in general?)

See, I really needed to write about Narnia but I was far too lazy... till now, of course. I watched on Thursday and it was such an excellent movie I was reeling in happy thoughts about it for the rest of the day. I had only read half the book by the time I entered the cinema, but I feel I can say with quite a bit of confidence that the movie had captured all the fine little details that made it all the more magical. There was never a moment I sleepy (an important indicator of a mediocre movie for me as I feel sleepy during movies quite often), but my fists inevitably clenched more tightly when the frozen waterfall cracked with the surge of water and my heart sank when Aslan was shaved.

I loved how British the children were, especially in terms of their accents and dressing. The casting was great and the actors all fitted their roles well. My favourite is probably the elegant and frighteningly beautiful White Witch. I loved the subtly magical atmosphere throughout the movie; the movie never felt far-fetched or silly at any point, instead, it was like a tastefully done fairy tale. The CG was also excellent and you could even see Aslan's fine mane of fur gently caressed by the wind. Who said talking animals were strange or awkward? Admittedly, I hate movies with talking animals, but this is just different. Keyword: tasteful. I just felt like a child all over again.

Then on Thursday evening, I went to the dentist with much trepidation and I was almost incredulous when the dentist told me my teeth are OK?! (Note: my visit to the dentist last year -_-) It's a different dentist this time, and it's a dentist my dad recommended because he said it's almost painless XD Painless, it really was, but I don't feel my teeth are exceptionally clean at all .__. And just like the last time, I've begun to be compulsive about clean teeth all over again...

On Friday, I went out with the Japanese textbook characters again. *^^* It was very memorable, for all the wrong reasons... such as overeating, the wrong things we did in Kino and the stupid numbers game XD haha! It was extremely crowded and incomprehensibly, everyone seemed to be scrambling to take a photo with the huge Christmas tree inside Takashimaya. We also decided to practise 日本語... that was fun. XD We need to do it again!

Yesterday! :D

My Enchanted Doll eyes finally came after an almost three-month long wait and they're gorgeous!!! O_O (The parcel from Malaysia XD) I only ordered one pair though... but now I think I really need to save money to buy more! XD; The eyes came in a pretty red jewellery box with the words Enchanted Doll inscribed on top in gold. But I feel stressed about having to handle it carefully? Apparently they get scratches quite easily. D:

The other parcel is from Leeke :D Apparently, for Christmas, they're giving out a free wig if you make a purchase over $50 and they actually gave me the exact wig I wanted -- style and size!!! O_O I was squealing when I took it out of the box <-- kthxbye -_-;; But I mean, how did they know! D: Shuui, I will recalculate the postage!

So I was a happy materialistic girl yesterday afternoon, haha... (why, even the postmen seemed happy and friendly!) and then hucks came to pick me up at about 4.30 and we headed for dinner.

First, we headed for the HusHush storewide 50% sale. XD (Thanks Suzuki-san for the tip, hoho) The last time my mum went there, she bought even more stuffed toys for my dolls and a pretty furry star-shaped cushion. This time, I went to get even more star-shaped cushions. XD And of course, we I just needed to visit Kino, isn't it? (Speaking of which, I've been going to Orchard and Kino for five consecutive days this week...) After a bout of retail therapy (XD), we had dinner at Royal Copenhagen.

It wasn't expensive at all, for dinner on Christmas eve, and we were so full we had to postpone Haagen-Dazs yet again. Then, we exchanged presents for real this time, hoho. Thank you, dear, for the rest of the presents, I really like what you got for me! XD

After that, we went to one of hucks' best friends' house, where we jealously guarded the homemade chocolate fondue and ate quite a lot XD Just about half an hour before midnight, a group of carollers came in and well, carolled. XD; It felt quite surreal yet really Christmassy for a moment, and when the clock struck 12, everyone was frantically stretching their arms to wish everyone else Merry Christmas. XD

I didn't want to go back too late because my parents had bought a log cake, hoho. More chocolate! >:)

And that ends my happy Christmas eve. :)

Merry Christmas everyone, have a good one!

And many thanks to those who sent me cards ♥

Doll photos next. >:D
