The 15th of August is the peak of the summer holiday season in Italy. As I'm not on holiday yet, I went to the restaurant with my parents and took them to see a photo exhibition about Milan, it showed how the city has changed from the '40s until today. It was very interesting, even though I'm fairly sure it was a revamp of an old exhibition I saw a few years ago.
In other news, in little more than a week I'll be in London! And guess when the Tube unions are planning to go on strike for the second time in less than a month. -_- Oh, well, buses are supposed to work regularly (even though they'll probably be packed), I'm checking alternative routes in case the strike is confirmed. And the place where I'm staying it's very strategically located, I should be able to reach most places on foot. Still, isn't it ironic? We have tons of strikes in Italy, but thanks to Expo, which is taking place in Milan, the unions agreed on a 6-month "truce" in the city. Then I finally go on holiday after 2 years, I decide to go back to London after 10 years... And the Tube is on strike! Laugh with me, please.
