Allowing Mother to type in my journal again...

Makeup colors are often named after foods. Forbidden to enjoy eating women can have guilt-free Raisin (lip pencil), Rose Chocolate (lipstick), Cherrie in snow (lipstick) and a heap of caffeine kickstarters such as Mocha Dream and Cafe Au Lait.

Maybe it started with that weirdo bible story. I mean a woman eats an apple -one little apple! And the next thing you know everyone's chucked out of the Garden of Eden and all the evils of earth, including lawyers and public transport ticket inspectors, famine, pestilence, are visited upon earth by a vengeful God. No wonder women feel guilty about eating. Thankfully Eve wasn't offered a piece of black forest cake by that old snakie thing or we'd all be pulverised into atoms.

The people who sell diets know they don't work. That's why they keep churning out so many "new" ones in magazines. They know people are desperate to lose weight and they have to sell magazines to them.

Now on to Eyes: I oppose the use of eyebrow and eyelash dyes since there is a severe risk of eye injury and even blindness.I don't like mascaras with extra filaments or bits to "extend" or "add to" lashes. You might end up trying to fish them out of your eyes all day. And what exactly is the point of the "no color" mascara? You might as well just comb your own eyelashes.

I still remember a day a week into my first office job when I came into work without foundation on. My dress was neat and clean, my hair tidy and I felt presentable in an office. I was told by my boss that I was not to come into the office without makeup on. I remember feeling insulted and that my face without makeup was my personal choice, but ofcourse being young and inexperienced agreed to the request. I do not anymore. What made the situation worse as far as I am concerned is that my boss was female.

Sure it's fine to please friends and family, but remember you only have one life and you should give yours a bit more attention...If people do not like what you do or the way you look, it would be the person's problem not yours. We have to start to realise that there is nothing wrong with ourselves individually and that only people who want to see faults and pick them out are the ones with the abnormality in society. Trying to be accepted by them robs use of the opportunity of being unique and different to one another. It stops us from who we want to be and feel comfortable being.
