Marat Sade
Well...Crystal, Brooke, and I went to see Marat Sade tonight and i have to say....I'm a little disappointed. It was about the Marquis de Sade...and I thought ohhhhh this will be yummie cuz it was a rated R show...well...to begin with, the audience was seated on stage, not in the audience. We were there to see a play about an audience watching a play in an insane aslym. OOOOHHHHHkkkkaaayyy..so the people came out and the "crazy" people came right into the audience and started playing with us...like pulling Brooke's shoe off and carrying it on stage for a while, this one guy layed down under my chair and started running his hand up my leg....~L~ and they had guards in the show that would come get them sometimes....well you couldn't hear the dialog or even see what was happening sometimes because of the "crazies" in the audience. ~giggle~ The Marquis came down from his perch one time to make a lengthy speech...well he too was walking through the audience and he stopped right in front of me, his eyes were locked onto mine and he made his speech that way. Well....you know me....I didn't drop the stare for a second. I gave it right back to him and he almost lost his line for a second. ~giggle~ But hey, this guy was GOOD! He played the Marquis with perfection. Hs arrogance was amazing. Anyway, this other guy who played a priest jumps in my face and starts screaming out a long speech too! I was a little freaked by him ~giggle~ at the end it was left open....you draw your own conclusions and opinions about the play...kind of kookie but all in all, i enjoyed it I guess. Just didn't feed my fantasies. ~giggle~
One good thing though...give my "nature" after a performace like that...I'm sooooo energized! I feel like I could move a ountian...only problem...I wont sleep for a few days. ~giggle~ It gave me the acting bug again too! I gave it up a couple years ago after my director was a complete ass...guess he didn't appreiate me turning down a date with him. After that I just felt the theater was jaded. But he has since moved on and now I want to get back into it.
