How was everyones Thanksgiving?
Mine was well. We stayed home. We've been so busy we really just wanted to kick back and not HAVE to be anywhere.
Crazy crap that happened:
The turkey was done about 1-1 1/2 hours earlier than expected.
In my opinion, it was dry but ok.
And my pie crust got soggy, not sure what happened there! It was nice and browned on the bottom when I took it out of the oven, then the next day when I cut it it was damp and doughy. BUT, the pumpkin set very well. I do not like a mushy pumpkin pie. GROSS! I also made my cranberries more geletin like...I wasn't sure how to phrase that. But I didn't want it to run all over my plate, so I cooked them about 10 minutes longer than usual, then gave them a good stir before putting them on the table. Yummers!
Thankfully we didn't go out to my parents, because I was very ill Friday. I puked dark green....I didn't eat anything green 'cept a small tasty scoop of greenbean crap. Soooo, i dunno. I'm glad I'm better today.
Tomorrow Mikey has a 3 on 3 tournament to play. That will be an experience. The puck drops at 8am! He hasn't gotten up before 830 in over week! But he is excited because he gets to be Goalie and thats his favorite position.
Also, our family web site is back up. There are pictures of aym in her beautiful halloween costume, school pics, then if you scroll though the blog posts there are videos of game highlights and aym singing My Funny Valentine at the dinner theater her school did. She has such a beautiful voice! OH! I also made a weeding cake! It was so much fun! My first commission! there are a couple of pictures of that too!
