My younger brother had an accident this morning. He wasn't speeding or anything, his car skidded on the road which was wet, and he crashed into a wall. First back, turned and hit front then turned again and hit the back again...or the other way, I forget....Point is, his car is smashes to pieces in the front...but the two boys, he had his friend with him, don't have a scratch on them. He wasn't speeding, wasn't drunk and was driving slowly on purpose cos he was coming off from work...the road was wet, apparently he was coming off from a downwards slope and when he pressed the breaks after the car skidded or something, it just went haywire. It's smashed to bits..but they're ok.
He's lucky. He could have gone the other side and fell 3 stories and then they'd be dead. I've always believed in angels and guardian angels and I'm telling you, something was watching over them both.
They're shaken of course, but they've gone to bed now....All I could do was run about asking if they wanted tea, getting annoyed cos they didn't want tea and tea is calming and goddamn it I'm mostly British, drink the bloody tea!! Anything goes wrong and I make you tea. Simple.
I'm laughing now, but I was nearly in tears when I saw the car when I went to take pics and realised just how fucking bad it could have been.
See that rip in the car seat? There's 2 of them. And I think they happened when Sean got jerked about cos that's the driver's seat. That is the ONLY damage in the front. The place you put your feet could have crushed in, but is fine.
The rest of the hood is in the car.
The pictures look terrible, but seeing it in real life when I was taking the pics was just...heart-stopping. My baby brother could have died and thankfully all that's damaged is the car and not my family.
Now tell me there's no one watching out for us.
