A very old poem written for someone unsaid

I saw you standing there,
But all I could do was sit and stare.

I went by you everyday
Wondering when you would come my way.

I wanted to talk to you yesterday and today,
But I couldn't think of anything to say.

I'm always sitting around thinking of you
With my mind boggled by what we would do.

Will you feel the same way about me?
I have no clue so help me see.

I wanted to tell you that I'm in love,
But I didn't know if you'd be my love.

When I saw you with that boy,
All my heart could do was twirl.

Then the day came when you two parted
Now I don't feel so single-hearted.
