Argh! Stupid fecking Great Western Trains no longer accept mobility scooters onto their trains, so how the feck am I supposed to get to London on Saturday? Apparently it is for safety reasons - what saftey reasons exactly? It's dimensions are small enough, every other operator in the country accepts it, so what's wrong with them ( Read more... )

Well, if I had a proper expensive wheelchair, I'd be ok.

But I'm not ill enough to qualify for an electric wheelchair, and wouldn't need it a lot of the time. But on the other hand, I'm not strong enough for a self-propelling wheelchair (y'know, the whole fatigue thing...). So I have a little mobility scooter that is half-way to a electric wheelchair.

So I'm sure they would argue they aren't discriminating at all, because I could come in a manual wheelchair or some other crap.

They are CUN'TS AND I HOPE THEY SUFFER.

today is shit shit shit and I'm fecking fed up

I don't know who owns them. Do you really think I can cause them difficulties (it's a bit late as I need to travel Saturday for a college trip)

Not only what that other person said, but you don't HAVE a manual wheelchair, and it would be utterly unreasonable, I would think, for them to stipulate that in order to go on their trains you would basically have to buy a wheelchair, whether you are able to use it or not!
