No need to get pushy Mr Publicansdecoy! I'll update when I'm good and ready.
Trouble with having facebook is that I put everything up there instead. But here is a whirl wind tour of my summer. Let me know what you think
1) Nunsense
I've joined the
The Order of Perpetual Indulgence for one thing. We dress up as nuns (well, very loosely), promote safe sex, give out condoms, lube and dams in Condom Ministry, campaign for LGBT rights, and generally annoy right wing people.
I also started an
Oxford Chapter . Here we are on our first manifestation - taken in the TV room at Balliol.
I sewed my habit myself - and the habits of other novices for that matter. Much sewing this summer.
I did loads of collection for Waverly Care at the Edinburgh Festival, and am currently planning our World AIDS Day event and International Day Against Fascism demo.
2) Made Stuff
Yes, I've been making my Christmas presents, because I'm that sort of girl.
I've been busy busy busy sewing (no pics yet) and beading for people's Christmas presents. Hopefully they will be well received.
3) Got a Girlfriend.
YES. It's true, I have a girlfriend called Sian and she's lovely and NOT A PSYCHO which is the important bit.
She's a PhD student, nice, clever, liberal and gorgeous. All good!
4) Hit the Festival
Aye, indeed, I feel cultured. I went to see stuff at the Film Festival, Book Festival and Fringe. The best was either hearing Jeanette Winterson (whom I love) or seeing a film called "Wristcutters: A Love Story", which was the best film I have seen in years. Honestly - if you get the chance to see it, do. It's not at all bleak, it's black comedy but ultimately uplifting. Snow Cake with Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver was also good.
Other than that. I've generally been avoiding work, faffing around trying not to think about it. ARGH. This is not good.
